The Board of Directors of Respite Day Services of Oxford, Inc. is excited to announce Laura Parkinson as the new Program Manager for Memory Makers. She will work with Program Director, Tracy Morgan to help coordinate volunteers, manage daily operations, and provide quality programming and care for participants at Memory Makers.
Laura has worked in arts and community organizations for over 20 years. She has held staff positions in nonprofit, state agency and higher education settings, and assisted groups through her private consulting practice. A fifth-generation Mississippian, her commitment to service and increasing quality of life within our community runs deep, volunteering past and present for many local organizations and in the Oxford School District.
Laura is a 1993 graduate of Mississippi State University. She and her husband Ken have two children, Virginia and Reed and have made Oxford home since 2005.
